Welcome to Kappa Eta Phi
Welcome to Kappa Eta Phi – Alpha Chapter!
My name is Luke Pettyes, and I am proud to be serving as the President of Kappa Eta Phi for the 2025-2026 school year!
I joined KEP in the spring of my freshman year, still feeling a bit lost on such a large campus. Wanting to find a meaningful community and challenge myself, I decided to rush—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the start, I was welcomed into a supportive environment where members truly lived out KEP’s pillars of diversity, professionalism, and brotherhood.
Since then, KEP has significantly shaped my college experience. It’s helped me grow professionally, take on leadership roles, expand my network, and build lasting friendships. Most importantly, it gave me a sense of belonging that continues to make IU feel like home.
With members and alumni hailing from countries across the globe, diversity is embedded in the Kappa Eta Phi brotherhood. I have formed meaningful connections with people whom I otherwise would have never met and had the opportunity to learn from the experiences of others, while sharing my own.
Being a part of a Professional Fraternity is an experience I wouldn't change! I encourage you to explore all that Indiana University’s professional organizations have to offer and come check out Kappa Eta Phi, too!
Sincerely,
Luke Pettyes
President
